Wilson Fearnall were asked to evaluate the various types of renewable energy project that could be utilised on a Grade 2* listed building in Shropshire.

Whilst only a modest solar installation would be feasible full planning and listed building consent was required.

After liaison with the local authority and English Heritage a sympathetic and in keeping design was subsequently agreed and consented.

The installation was tendered and the panels now generate approximately 4000 kWh per annum delivering a 12-15% return on investment to the client.
